Description
Slum girls initiative (SGI) was founded in 2016 . It is a registered Community Based Organization based in Koroogocho Slum. The main objective of the project is to #Restoredignityandconfidence to people living in the informal settlements. We work with girls from 7 school where we provide free quality sanitary pads every month. So far over 10,000 girls have benefitted. Besides menstrual hygiene management we have machine on wheels, a programm that seeks to restore dignity and confidence to school kids by mending their torn school uniforms for free. We also have an integrated school by the name Gifted Inclusive Schools(GIS) where pupils with special needs are welcome with open as.
