Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) is a youth-led social enterprise with a unique mission: to restore ecosystems and inspire climate action by harnessing the transformative power of art and culture. ACE firmly believes that everyone possesses an artistic side that can be leveraged as a tool for addressing climate change.
In line with this vision, ACE establishes community tree nurseries in areas urgently in need of ecosystem restoration due to deforestation and its associated climate impacts. These nurseries not only revitalize the environment but also empower local communities by diversifying their income sources and connecting them with the green economy.By integrating art into ecosystem restoration activities, the organization empowers individuals and communities to express their unique talents, effectively inspiring change while ensuring the sustainability of their green social enterprise. Our product offerings encompass two categories: tree seedlings and artistic creations. The profits from artistic product sales are channeled back into operating and running the nurseries, making it a self-sustaining cycle.
ACE is registered and currently establishing a prototype project in Nairobi, Kenya.
Looking ahead, ACE aspires to meet Kenya's ambitious goal of planting 15 billion trees by 2032 while promoting sustainable livelihoods in local communities. The organization plans to expand by establishing two community tree nurseries in each of Kenya's 47 counties. Simultaneously, we aspire to foster a community of artists and art enthusiasts, using their collective energy to drive and inspire people to take climate action by planting trees thereby forming our target market. Our art pieces serve as powerful advocates for social justice and environmental responsibility. ACE is a unique blend of art and nature working towards a greener and more sustainable future.
